Delaware.net Launches New Fisher’s Popcorn Site

June 2nd, 2010

Fisher’s Popcorn already had an existing store with Delaware.net that was out-dated and needed to be upgraded. We designed a completely new look with a slide show, new images and more functionality and ease of use. We used our CMS-Logic and Store-Logic to make their new E-commerce site easier to navigate and customer friendly. Their shipping options were also updated.

Since 1937, the Fisher family has been poppin’ popcorn on the Boardwalk and Talbot Street in downtown Ocean City, Maryland. They are a small family business and take great pride in making their tasty caramel corn. You can enjoy our delicious popcorn all year round. If you are in Ocean City, stop by their Talbot Street and Boardwalk location.

Delaware.net is goin’ green, one step at a time.

January 14th, 2010

Ok, so we aren’t installing solar panels or building a new office out of mud (yet), but we are recycling our trash. It occurred to me that we have 2 large trash cans in our kitchen, all it took was slapping a “recycling” logo on one of them. We will haul our recyclable refuse to one of DSWA’s drop-off centers weekly.

For those of you that haven’t looked into recycling in Delaware lately, they have made it easier than ever to drop recyclables off. There is now very little sorting required. Cans, bottles, junk mail, and paperboard can generally be thrown in the same bin. Corrugated cardboard is the only common recyclable you need to separate. For more information visit DSWA’s Drop-off Center webpage.

Client Q&A – Moving a WordPress Blog to Delaware.Net

March 8th, 2009

I am going to start adding Client questions to our blog to help others, and I will call them “Client Q&A”.

Today’s question comes from Stephen:

Comments: Hi.  I have one, possibly two, WordPress blogs of my own that I might be interested in transferring to Delaware.Net’s $50/year hosting plan.  I also help people and businesses set-up and maintain blogs, so I might be able to use your hosting services for at least some of those.  If I could get answers to two questions, I should be able to make a decision.  From the sound of your information, it sounds like you do provide both of these services, but I wanted to make sure. » Read more: Client Q&A – Moving a WordPress Blog to Delaware.Net

UPS Certifies Delaware.Net Ecommerce Technology

February 26th, 2009

Delaware.Net achieved certification from UPS today for our ecommerce engine. This is a very big deal for our company, our customers, and our staff. Our Ecommerce system (www.store-logic.com) is now UPS-Ready certified. This means that we are interfacing our ecommerce system with UPS’ servers directly, to get real-time accurate shipping and delivery information from UPS. This allows your website store to display accurate rates for a large selection of delivery and package types. UPS will list us on their website as an approved vendor, and this will get us more exposure as we gear up to launch Store-Logic 2.0.

Existing ecommerce customers of Delaware.Net will get the new shipping technology at no charge.
