Greg and I attended the Delaware Chamber of Commerce mixer at the Dogfish Head Brewery in Milton, Delaware last night. Nice place. Really good beer. It was 98 degrees out, very humid, and there was no air conditioning in the building. Everyone was sweating profusely, but with the chicken house fans they had, and the cold beer on tap - we survived! Overall it was a good mixer, with plenty of people from all over the state. We got to meet Sam, the owner of Dogfish Head, and they gave a guided tour of the facilities.

John McKown (President), and Greg Austin (Sales)
One of the interesting things we noticed, was how the salespeople there told stories about how the beers were designed, crafted, and made. The storytelling is a great sales technique, as it adds to the experience. In front of the facility, they have a bocce ball court. It’s good to see that they know how to have fun, and it also reminded me of our own foosball table at our office.
The beer was excellent, and it was great making new business contacts and seeing some of our clients from the downstate area.
